Announcement: Java Developer (Intermediate - Senior): Home Office or NYC


Minimum Required Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in field
• 5 +years of software design and implementation experience
• Exposure to enterprise architecture patterns and application design patterns
• Exposure to integration technologies (ESB, ETL, EAI, EII)
• Experience with Database technologies and design (SQL, normalization, de-normalization)
• Experience with application integration technologies (REST, Web Services, Messaging)
• Experience with open source technologies such as Mule (preferred), Apache ServiceMix, and FuseESB a plus
• Experience with Spring
• Experience with relational databases
• An understanding Agile/Scrum methodology and practice in a multidisciplinary team
• An understanding of security principles and how they apply to E-Commerce applications
• An understanding of Computer Science concepts and how to apply them to problems (e.g. design patterns, measuring efficiency, etc…)
• An understanding of web delivery and network communication technologies including HTTP, SSL, SMTP, UDP, TCP/IP, RMI
• Experience with procedural scripting languages such as JavaScript, VBScript, Perl, PHP, BASH, MS Batch
• Experience with distributed computing
• Experience with No-SQL databases like Membase, MongoDB is a plus
• Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Candidate will be judged on ability to work effectively with project teams
• Experience working on issues that impact design, product success, or address future concepts, products, or technologies
• Disciplined approach to maintaining and enforcing engineering best practices
• Able to work effectively in a team environment
 
Responsibilities
• Design and develop high-performance middleware solutions using Java-based applications (J2EE, JMS, etc…)
• Design and develop Web Services (REST, Web Services, etc…)
• Develop and implement large scale systems for the web.
• Perform Object Oriented analysis, design and development
