The Web Services team is hiring an engineer to help build our next-generation services and integrations.  Our team is responsible for building and maintaining the APIs that expose our multi-tier services, available at http://developer.constantcontact.com . This work enables our in-house and external development community to build and integrate applications such as our iPhone app http://www.constantcontact.com/offer/iphone/index.jsp.   As a Senior Software Engineer, you will collaborate across multiple teams to ensure a service-oriented architecture, and you will implement new services to extend our offering and to integrate with vendor platforms.
Actions and Results

•    Creation, deployment, and support of Web Services architecture and platform for our full range of software services.
•    Hands-on involvement in the architecture, design, development, integration and deployment of Web services and third party platform integrations.
•    Team participation in all aspects of Software Development Life Cycle. 
•    Assist customer support and respond to production issues as necessary.
•    Work with Product Management, other software development teams, QA and Operations in support of full product lifecycle.

Required Skills and Experience
•    B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
•    4-8  years experience developing web-based applications
•    Experience developing software systems using Java EE, and  JSP's ,Websphere or JBoss
•    Excellent Software design skills - value flexibility and simplicity
•    Strong understanding of the software development process
•    Experience working with relational databases  (Oracle, DB2)
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
•    Commitment to deadlines and willingness to meet the needs of 24x7 environment
•    Be an excellent team player

Desired Skills and Experience
•    Experience developing with REST and/or SOAP
•    Comfortable developing in both Windows and Linux
•    Experience with developing for large-scale environments
•    Experience in a SaaS environment
•    Familiarity with Agile process
•    Knowledge of SSO, OAuth, or OpenID 
•    Knowledge of Force.com Apex is a plus
