Responsibilities:
· Using proven technical skills, you will employ new technologies to solve difficult problems.
· Work with senior staff to plan and size individual projects
· Prioritize and design enhancements
· Produce high-quality, well-tested code
· Interact effectively with members of the various technical teams within our engineering organization
Required Skills & Abilities:
· Track record of delivering commercially available software using Java.
· Demonstrate proficiency in design, coding, and software architecture for this environment.
· Experience building and delivering stable, serviceable solutions in an independent fashion.
· Excellent communications skills
· Designing UI with Java Swing
· Strong object-oriented design skills (OOD/OOP)
· Knowledge of common web technologies, such as HTTP, XML, XSL and SOAP
· The following skills and knowledge will be useful:
o Storage management concepts and standards
o iSCSI and networking
o SNMP applications
o VMware Development
o J2EE technologies (JDBC, JMS, servlets, etc)
o Development experience with Java frameworks (Spring, Hibernate, etc)
· 5+ years of Java development, preferably in the context of network, device, or system management.
· BS Degree in Computer Science or Quantitative field preferred
